Jesus saith to him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt-offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt-offering: so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had named to him; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order; and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only-begotten son,

And the LORD said to Moses, Why criest thou to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou thy rod, and stretch out thy hand over the sea, and divide it; and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

If the LORD delighteth in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it to us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense has departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

And Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to-morrow the LORD will do wonders among you. And Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. And the LORD said to Joshua, See, I have given into thy hand Jericho, and its king, and the mighty men of valor. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round the city once: thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.read more.
And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout: and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend every man straight before him.

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man sayeth he hath faith, and hath not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you sayeth to them, Depart in peace, be you warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?read more.
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Also a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. And if I am even offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is according to godliness;

And besides this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Wherefore I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love to all the saints,

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But now when Timothy came from you to us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breast-plate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

But that on the good ground are they, who in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

And these are they who are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty-fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, he cleaneth it, that it my bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.read more.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
