Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.
Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
And the servant of the Lord must not contend; but be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient,
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight of it, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but from a ready mind;
Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
Nor from men sought we glory, neither from you, nor yet from others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
I charge thee before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest by any means when I have preached to others, I myself should be a cast-away.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear to us.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them who walk so as ye have us for an example.
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves a pattern to you to follow us.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in deportment, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
