God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

In that day the LORD of the hosts shall be for a crown of glory and for a diadem of beauty unto the residue of his people, And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits upon the throne of judgment, and for strength to those that turn the battle to the gate.

For the Lord is the Spirit, and where that Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Therefore we all, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord with uncovered face, are transformed from glory to glory into the same likeness, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Being therefore of the lineage of God, we ought not to think that which is Divine is like unto gold or silver or stone, bearing the mark of art and man's imagination.

The God that made the world and all the things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens, the heavens of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have built?

Is it true that God is to dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee, how much less this house which I have built!

But who is so powerful as to build him a house, seeing the heavens and heavens of the heavens cannot contain him? Who am I then that I should build him a house, except to burn incense before him?

Howbeit the most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool; what house will ye build me? saith the Lord, or what is the place of my rest? Has not my hand made all these things?

who in his time shall show the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; the only one who has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature;

Therefore unto the King forever, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
