For the creation was made subject to vanity, not of choice, but by reason of Him Who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation is groaning and travailing in pain together until now;
through which have been given to us very great and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world in lust:
Because "All flesh is as grass, and all its glory as the flower of grass: the grass withered, and the flower fell off; but the word of the Lord abides forever."
For, if God spared not angels that sinned, but, hurling them down to Hell, delivered them up to pits of darkness, kept for judgment;
for all sinned, and are coming short of the glory of God;
but the Scripture shuts up all things under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
For in many things we all stumble. If anyone stumbles not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to restrain also the whole body.
