Know ye not that those running a race, all, indeed, run; but one receives the prize? So run; that ye may obtain. And every one who strives in the games exercises self restraint in all things; they, indeed, therefore, to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. I, therefore, so run, as not uncertainly I so fight, as not beating the air.read more.
But I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage; lest, by any means, after having preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, who after God was created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Not that I already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I am pressing on, if I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations; knowing that tribulation works out patience; and patience, approval; and approval, hope; and hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the holy Spirit, Who was given to us.

Let no one rob you of your prize, wishing to do it in humility and in a worshipping of angels, speculating about the things which he has seen, being vainly puffed up by the mind of his flesh,

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will recompense to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

Happy is a man who endures temptation; because, when he becomes approved, he will receive the crown of life, which He promised to those who love Him.

and, when the Chief Shepherd is manifested, ye will obtain the unfading crown of glory.

Fear not the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

I am coming speedily; hold fast that which you have, that no one take your crown.
