A curse upon anyone who does not love the Lord! Our Lord is coming.

For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's splendor, with His angels, and then He will pay back to everyone in accordance with what he has done.

So keep on watching, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the master of the house had known in exactly what part of the night the thief would come, he would have been on guard and would not have let his house be broken into. So you, too, must continue to be ready, for at an hour you are not expecting Him the Son of Man will come.

For whoever is ashamed of me and my teaching in this unfaithful, sinful age, then the Son of Man will be ashamed of him, when He comes back in His Father's splendor with the holy angels."

And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on earth despair of nations in bewilderment at the roaring of the sea and its waves, men fainting with fear and apprehension of the things that are to come upon the world, for the powers of the sky will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud in overwhelming power and splendor.

And if I go and make it ready for you, I will come back and take you to be face to face with me, so that you may always be right where I am.

After saying this, He was taken up while they were looking at Him, and a cloud swept under Him and carried Him out of their sight. And while they were gazing after Him into heaven, two men dressed in white suddenly stood beside them, and said to them, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This very Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in just the way you have seen Him go up into heaven."

so that there is no spiritual gift in which you consciously come short, while you are waiting for the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the very end He will guarantee that you are vindicated at the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But we are citizens of the republic in heaven, from which we are eagerly waiting for our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let your forbearing spirit be known to everybody. The Lord is near.

and to wait for the coming from heaven of His Son, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Also we do not want you to have any misunderstanding, brothers, about those who are falling asleep, so as to keep you from grieving over them as others do who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then through Jesus, God will bring back with Him those who have fallen asleep. For on the Lord's own authority we say that those of us who may be left behind and are still living when the Lord comes back, will have no advantage at all over those who have fallen asleep.read more.
For the Lord Himself, at the summons sounded by the archangel's call and by God's trumpet, will come down from heaven, and first of all the dead in union with Christ will rise, then those of us who are still living will be caught up along with them on clouds in the air to meet the Lord, and so we shall be with the Lord forever.

But as to times and dates, brothers, you have no need of anyone's writing you, for you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the Lord is coming like a thief in the night. When people say, "Such peace and security!" then suddenly destruction falls upon them, like birth pains upon a woman who is about to become a mother, but they shall not escape, no, not at all.

Before God who preserves the life of all His creatures and before Christ Jesus who in testifying before Pontius Pilate made His good profession, I solemnly charge you to keep His command stainless and irreproachable until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ, which will be brought about in His own time by the blessed, only Sovereign, the King of kings, the Lord of lords,

Now the crown for doing right awaits me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day, and not only me but also all who have loved His appearing.

while we are waiting for the realization of our blessed hope at the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Christ Jesus,

so Christ was offered once for all to take away the sins of many, but again He will appear, without having anything to do with sin, to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him to bring them final salvation.

So be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer keeps on waiting and waiting for the precious crop from his land; how he keeps up his patience over it until he gets the early and late rains,

and saying, "Where is His promised coming? For ever since our forefathers fell asleep everything has remained exactly as it was from the beginning of creation!"

See! He is coming on the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even the men who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth will lament over Him. Even so. Amen.

(See! I am coming like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes ready, so that he may not go naked and people see his shame.)
