And having answered, he said to them, Have ye not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.
Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in Lord. For just as the woman is from the man, so also the man is through the woman. But all things are from God.
And LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make a help meet for him.
And the man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the heavens, and to every beast of the field, but for man there was not found a help meet for him. And LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept. And [God] took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in place of it. And the rib, which LORD God had taken from the man, he made a woman, and brought her to the man.
And the man said, The woman whom thou gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.
A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he shall have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.
And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cling to his wife, and {the two (LXX/NT)} shall be one flesh.
and said, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother behind, and will be bonded with his wife, and the two will be in one flesh?

I desire therefore the younger women to marry, to bear children, to manage house, to give not one occasion to him who opposes on account of slander.
