[Remember] the day that you stood {before} Yahweh your God at Horeb {when Yahweh said to me}, 'Summon for me the people so that I can tell them my words, that they may learn to fear me all [of] the days they [are] alive on the earth and so [that] they may teach their children.'

And when they came to him, he said to them, "You know from the first day on which I set foot in Asia how I was the whole time with you-- serving the Lord with all humility and with tears, and with the trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews-- how I did not shrink from proclaiming to you anything that would be profitable, and [from] teaching you in public and from house [to house],
I am not writing these [things] to shame you, but admonishing [you] as my dear children. For if you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, yet [you do] not [have] many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I fathered you through the gospel.
night and day praying beyond all measure that [we] may see your face and complete what is lacking in your faith?
holding fast to the faithful message according to the teaching, in order that he may be able both to exhort with sound instruction and to reprove those who speak against [it].
Therefore [I, your] fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, [and] also a sharer of the glory that is going to be revealed, exhort the elders among you: shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not by compulsion but willingly, in accordance with God, and not greedily but eagerly, and not as lording it over {those under your care}, but being examples for the flock.
Likewise, exhort the young men to be self-controlled, concerning everything showing yourself [to be] an example of good deeds, in your teaching [demonstrating] soundness, dignity,
I have desired no one's silver or gold or clothing! You yourselves know that these hands served [to meet] my needs and [the needs of] those who were with me. I have shown you [with respect to] all [things] that [by] working hard in this way it is necessary to help those who are in need, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Therefore I exhort you, become imitators of me. Because of this, I have sent to you Timothy, who is my dear and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ Jesus, just as I teach everywhere in every church.
Become imitators of me, just as I also [am] of Christ.
And [the things] which you have learned and received and heard about and seen in me, practice these [things], and the God of peace will be with you.
because our gospel did not come to you with word only, but also with power and with the Holy Spirit and with much certainty, just as you know what sort of [people] we became among you for your sake. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, receiving the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit,
And we urge you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, console the discouraged, help the sick, be patient toward all [people]. See to it that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue good toward one another and toward all [people].
Now receive the one who is weak in faith, [but] not for quarrels about opinions.
But watch out lest somehow this right of yours becomes a cause for stumbling to the weak. For if someone should see you who has knowledge reclining for a meal in an idol's temple, will not his conscience, [because it] is weak, be strengthened so that [he] eats the food sacrificed to idols? For the one who is weak--the brother for whom Christ died--is destroyed by your knowledge.read more.
Now [if you] sin in this way against the brothers and wound their conscience, which is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat {forever}, in order that I may not cause my brother to sin.
Brothers, even if a person is caught in some trespass, you [who are] spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of humility, looking out for yourself, lest you also be tempted. Carry the burdens of one another, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Therefore encourage one another and build up {each other}, just as indeed you are doing.
Older women likewise [are to be] reverent in [their] behavior, not slanderous, not enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, in order that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands [and to] love their children, [to be] self-controlled, pure, busy at home, good, being subject to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be slandered.
like newborn infants long for the unadulterated spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to salvation,
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for you were not yet able [to eat it]. But now you are still not able,
Brothers, do not become children in [your] understanding, but with respect to wickedness be as a child, and in [your] understanding be mature.
Concerning this {we have much to say and it is difficult to explain}, since you have become sluggish in hearing. For indeed, [although you] ought to be teachers {by this time}, you have need of someone to teach you again the beginning elements of the oracles of God, and {you have need of} milk, not solid food. For everyone who partakes of milk [is] unacquainted with the message of righteousness, because he is an infant.read more.
But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have trained their faculties for the distinguishing of both good and evil.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
And we all, with unveiled face, reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory into glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow into him [with reference to] all [things], who is the head, Christ,
We ought to give thanks to God always concerning you, brothers, just as it is fitting, because your faith is flourishing and the love of each one of you all toward one another is increasing
