Now then please, speak to the men of Judah, and to the people of Jerusalem, saying, So says Jehovah: Behold, I am forming evil against you, and devising a plan against you. Return now, each one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
But if you will not drive out the people of the land from before you, then it will be, those of them whom you let remain shall be goads in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land in which you live. And it shall be, as I thought to do to them, so I shall do to you.
Have you not heard it from afar, I made it? From days of old I fashioned it! Now I have caused it to come; that you should make fortified cities desolate heaps of ruins. And their people were of small power, they were fearful and put to shame. They were like the grass of the field, and the green herb, like the grass on the house-tops, and like grain blasted before it was grown up.
For He fulfilled my lot, and many things like these are with Him. Therefore I am troubled at His presence; when I look, I am afraid of Him. For God makes my heart soft, and the Almighty troubles me;
O Jehovah, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise Your name; for You have done a wonder; Counsels from afar; faithful faithfulness. For You have made a heap from a city; a fortified city into a ruin; a citadel of foreigners to be no city; it shall never be built.
Have you not heard from afar? I made it from days of old, even I have formed it. Now I have caused it to come, and you are to cause fortified cities to crash into heaps, ruins. And their inhabitants were short of hand; dismayed and ashamed. They were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, even grain blasted before it has risen.
It may be that they will listen, and each man turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the evil which I plan to do to them because of the evil of their doings.
Jehovah has done what He has purposed; He has fulfilled His Word which He commanded from the days of old. He has thrown down and not pitied. And He caused your hater to rejoice over you; He has set up the horn of your foes.
So Jehovah says this: Behold, against this family I am plotting an evil from which you shall not remove your necks; nor shall you go proudly, but it is an evil time.
Jehovah of Hosts has sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so it shall come to pass; and as I have purposed, it shall stand; to break Assyria in My land, and on My mountains, trample him under foot. Then his yoke shall be removed from them, and his burden shall be taken off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed on all the earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out on all the nations.read more.
For Jehovah of Hosts has purposed, and who shall reverse it? And His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Where are they? Where are your wise men? And let them tell you now, and let them know what Jehovah of Hosts has planned against Egypt.
Who has purposed this against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are rulers, whose merchants are the weighty of the earth? Jehovah of Hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory and to bring into contempt all the weighty of the earth.
So then hear the counsel of Jehovah which He has taken against Edom, and His purposes which He has purposed against the people of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall drag them away. Surely He shall make their homes a ruin over them.
Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah that He has taken against Babylon; and His purposes which He has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans. Surely the least of the flock shall drag them; surely He shall make their dwelling a desert with them.
Now also many nations are gathered against you, who say, Let her be defiled, and let our eyes look on Zion. But they do not know the plans of Jehovah, nor do they understand His counsel. For He has gathered them like the sheaf to the floor. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; and you shall crush many peoples. And I will give their gain to Jehovah, and their wealth to the Lord of the all the earth.
in whom also we have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will,
O Jehovah my God, many things You have done, Your wonderful works and Your thoughts which are toward us; they cannot be set in order to You; I will declare and speak, for they are more than can be numbered.
for God had provided some better thing for us, that they should not be made perfect without us.
And you shall rear up the tabernacle according to the pattern of it which was shown you in the mountain. And you shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined bleached linen of embroidered work. It shall be made with cherubs. And you shall hang it upon four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.read more.

And David gave to his son Solomon the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper rooms, and of its innermost rooms, and of the place of the mercy-seat, and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of Jehovah, and of all the rooms all around the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the holy things;
You, son of man, declare to the house of Israel, the temple house, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. And let them measure its size. And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, the form of the house, and its arrangement, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its statutes, and all its forms, and all its laws, make known to them. And write them before their eyes, so that they may observe all its form, and all its statutes, and do them.
For the Lord Jehovah will do nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I plan to do to them, that they may each man turn from his evil way, so that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
Then the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter? says Jehovah. They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them? They search out injustice, saying, We have finished hiding a hidden plot. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are deep.
And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Please let me choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David tonight. Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plots of the people.
O Jehovah, do not grant the desires of the wicked; do not help his wicked plans, lest they praise themselves. Selah.
The ordering of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from Jehovah. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but Jehovah weighs the spirits. Roll your works upon Jehovah, and your thoughts shall be established.
There are many purposes in a man's heart, but the counsel of Jehovah shall stand.
Counsel a counsel, and it is frustrated. Speak a word, and it shall not stand; for God is with us.
And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it, and I will destroy its wisdom. And they shall seek to idols, and to the enchanters, and to the mediums, and to the future-tellers.
And I will make the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem come to nothing in this place, and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of those who seek their lives. And I will give their dead bodies to be food for the birds of the heavens, and for the animals of the earth.
