For I know the purposes which I am purposing for you, says Jehovah; purposes of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

But you shall remember Jehovah your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, so that He may confirm His covenant which He has sworn to your fathers, as it is today.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once.

Even so you, since you are zealots of spiritual things, seek to build up the church, in order that you may abound

Then having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, in the ministry; or he who teaches, in the teaching; or he who exhorts, in the encouragement; or he who shares, in simplicity; or he who takes the lead, in diligence; or he who shows mercy, in cheerfulness.

Talk no more so very proudly. Remove arrogance out of your mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.

Also sons were born to his son Shemaiah, who ruled for the house of their father, for they were mighty men of valor.

And refuge shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his power, nor shall the mighty deliver his life; nor shall he who handles the bow stand. And the swift-footed shall not save; and the horse rider shall not save his life. And the stout-hearted among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says Jehovah.

And when the sabbath day had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him, were astonished, saying, Where does this one get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to him, that even such mighty works are done by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at Him. And He could do no work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick ones, He healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. And He went around the villages, in a circuit, teaching.
