Luke 23:13-25

And he released to them him, that for insurrection and murder had been cast into prison, whom they desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

Matthew 27:23-27

And the governour said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. Then Pilate, seeing, that he could prevail nothing, but rather a tumult was made, took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just man: see ye to it. Then all the people answering said, His blood be on us and on our children. read more.

John 18:38-39

Matthew 14:3-11

And the king was exceeding sorry: yet for his oath's sake, and for the sake of his guests, he would not reject her. And immediately the king sent one of his guard, and commanded his head to be brought. And he went and beheaded him in the prison, And brought his head in a charger and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother.
