For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who detain the truth in unrighteousness. For what is to be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it to them. For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:

For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these not having the law, are a law to themselves; Who shew the work of the law written upon their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts among themselves accusing or even defending them,

All scripture is inspired of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

But he said, Yea, rather blessed are they, that hear the word of God and keep it.

But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves:

I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou hast given me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou hast given them me, and they have kept thy word.

I know thy works, (behold I have given before thee an opened door, none can shut it) that thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother and sister and mother.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that ye may stand, perfect and filled, with all the will of God.

Abide ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

A new commandment I give you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter,

for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you. This I command you, that ye love one another.

If any one think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you, are the commandments of the Lord.

For I have given you an example, that ye also may do as I have done to you.

Let every one of us please his neighbour, for his good, to edification. For Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee, fell upon me.

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Be ye therefore followers of God, as beloved children: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God of a sweet-smelling savour.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

For even hereunto are ye called; for Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye might follow his steps:

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be liable to the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the council; but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be liable to hell-fire.

This was the true light, who lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

He that believeth on him, is not condemned; but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Then answered Jesus and said to them, Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do; but what things soever he doth, these also doth the Son likewise.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him at the last day. For I have not spoken of myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me commandment, what I should say, and how I should speak.

Jesus saith, I am the way; and the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father, but by me.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Amen. Therefore God gave them up to vile affections; for even their women changed the natural use to that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their lust toward each other, men with men working filthiness, and receiving in themselves the just recompence of their error.

It is commonly reported, that there is fornication among you, and such fornication, as is not even named among the heathens, that one should have his father's wife.

Let every soul be subject to the supreme powers, for there is no power but from God; the powers that be, are appointed by God.

They say to him, Cesar's. Then said he to them, Render therefore to Cesar the things that are Cesar's, and to God the things that are God's.

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power over me, unless it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the appointment of God; and they that resist shall receive to themselves condemnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Wouldest thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from it; for he is the servant of God to thee for good. But if thou dost that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is the servant of God, an avenger for wrath against him that doth evil.read more.
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether it be to the king as supreme, Or to governors, as sent by him, for the punishment of evil-doers, and the praise of them that do well.

Who ever warreth at his own charge? Who planteth a vineyard, and doth not eat of its fruit? Or who feedeth a flock, and doth not eat of the milk of the flock?

Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that also shall he reap.
