Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

And Jesus answered and said to him: Simon, I have some thing to say to you. He replied: Teacher, say on. A certain creditor had two debtors; the one owed him five hundred denarii, the other, fifty. But as they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them, then, will love him the more? Simon answered and said: I suppose he to whom he forgave the more. He said to him: You have decided correctly. And turning toward the woman, he said to Simon: Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you gave me no water for my feet; but she has washed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss; but she, from the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil; but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore, I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much. But he to whom little is forgiven, loves little. And he said to her: Your sins are forgiven. And those who reclined at table with him began to say within themselves: Who is this that also forgives sins?

And it came to pass, that he went, on the sabbath day, into the house of one of the chief men of the Pharisees, to eat bread; and they watched him.

And they constrained him, saying: Remain with us, for it is near the evening, and the day has declined. And he went in to remain with them.

And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the marriage.
