So, then, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
and put on the new man, which, according to the will of God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, a merciful disposition, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering: bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any one have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do you: and over all these put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.

For this reason we faint not: but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day. by day.
For he is our peace, who has made both parties one, and broken down the partition wall that separated us, having abolished, in his flesh, the cause of enmity, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might, by himself, form the two into one new man, thus making peace; and that he might reconcile both, in one body, to God, through the cross, having by it put to death the cause of enmity;
