GOD, who in many parts and in many ways spoke in ancient times to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom, also, he made the ages;

I have made known thy name to the men that thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them, to me, and they have kept thy word. Now they know that all things that thou hast given me are from thee; for the words which thou gavest me I have given them; and they have received them, and they know surely that I came forth from thee, and they believe that thou didst send me.

Yet we speak wisdom among the perfect; but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are brought to nought: but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, even that which had been hidden, which God predestined before the ages, for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for, had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory.read more.
But, as it is written: Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and into the heart of man have not entered the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them to us through his Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

For I have not spoken of myself: but the Father who sent me, he gave me commandment what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life eternal. What things I speak therefore, as the Father has said to me, so I speak.

He that loves me not, keeps not my words; and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.

for the prophecy came not at any time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

For this reason, also, we thank God without ceasing; be cause, when you received the word of God, as preached by us, you embraced it, not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works in you that believe.

But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which is preached by me, is not according to man: for neither did I receive it from man, nor was it taught me, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

that you may be mindful of the words formerly spoken by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:

And the Lord said to him: Arise, and go into the street that is called Straight, and in quire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus: for behold, he is praying; and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias, coming in and laying his hand on him, that he may receive his sight.read more.
But Ananias answered: Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how much evil he has done to thy saints in Jerusalem; and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all that call upon thy name. But the Lord said to him: Go; for he is a vessel chosen by me to bear my name before nations and kings, and the sons of Israel. For I will show him what great things he must suffer for my name.
