For Moses said to the fathers, A prophet like me shall the Lord your God raise up for you from among your brethren; him shall you hear in all things that he shall say to you.

But he that received seed on the good ground, is he that hears the word and understands it; who also produces fruit, and yields, one a hundred; another, sixty; another, thirty.

But that on the good ground are those who, in a good and honest heart, hear the word, and keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

And to the angel of the church in Laodicea, write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know your works, that you are neither cold, nor hot: I wish that you were cold, or hot. So, then, because you are luke-warm, and neither cold, nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth. read more.

Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest we let them glide away.

So, then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them: The kingdom of God has come near to you. But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say: Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city. Alas for thee, Chorazin! alas for thee, Bethsaida! for, if the mighty works which have been done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, who hast been exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hades. He that hears you, hears me; and he that rejects you, rejects me; and he that rejects me, rejects him that sent me.

And he called to him the twelve, and began to send them out, two and two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits. And he commanded them to take nothing for their journey, but a staff only; no bag, no bread, no money in their purses; but to be shod with sandals, and not to put on two coats. read more.

For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped: these subvert whole houses by teaching, for the sake of base gain, things which they ought not to teach. in order to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among the sanctified, by faith in me.

in respect to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us,

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace; to Him who is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all the sanctified.

knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.

For the promise that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, nor to his posterity, through law, but through the righteousness of faith.

And if you are Christ s, then you are Abraham's posterity, and heirs according to the promise.

and, if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.

So, then, you are no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, an heir also of God, through Christ.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to those who shall inherit salvation?
