for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those, that sleep in Jesus, will God bring with Him.

As Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust (that He might introduce us to God) being indeed put to death in the flesh, but raised to life by the Spirit:

I am the first and the last, who live, though I was dead; and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen, and have the keys of hades and of death.

And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive;
