to the praise of his glorious grace, whereby He hath made us acceptable in the Beloved: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace; wherein He hath abounded towards us with the highest wisdom and prudence; having made known to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure, which He had before purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fulness of times, He might reduce all things, both in heaven and on earth, under one head in Christ: even in Him, in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated to it according to the purpose of Him who effecteth all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, when ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also when ye believed, ye were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise, who is the pledge of our inheritance, till the redemption of his purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
For our short and light affliction is working out for us an infinite and eternal weight of glory, as we aim not at the things which are visible, but invisible:
Therefore I submit to every thing for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is by Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
And when the sovereign Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive an unfading crown of glory.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting.
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him might not perish, but have everlasting life:
with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction, by the presence of the Lord and by his glorious power:
Do not ye say, it is yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, lift up your eyes, and see the fields, they are already white for harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth the fruit together unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together;
But now Christ is risen from the dead, and is become the first-fruits of them that slept: for as by man came death, by man cometh also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those, that sleep in Jesus, will God bring with Him.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be death no more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The last enemy that is destroyed is death:
Jesus then told her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, shall live again. And every one that is alive, and believeth in me, shall never die.
And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry and are given in marriage. But they who are counted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: for they can die no more, being like the angels: and they are the children of God as being the children of the resurrection.
I am the living bread, which came down from heaven: if any one eat of this bread, he shall live for ever. And the bread, that I will give, is my flesh, which I will give up for the life of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the desire of it: but he, that doth the will of God, abideth for ever.
The thief cometh only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and may have it in perfection.
but he that drinketh of the water which I shall give him, shall never thirst: but the water, which I shall give him, will be in him a fountain of water springing up unto eternal life.
yea and every one who hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall receive an hundred-fold, and shall inherit eternal life.
or lands for my sake and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundred-fold: now in this time indeed, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands with persecutions; but in the world to come life everlasting.
who shall not receive manifold more even in this life, and in the world to come life everlasting.
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Have ye also a mind to go away? Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and know that thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him, beareth much fruit: but without me ye can do nothing.
When Christ, who is your life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.
who died for us, that whether we be awake, or asleep, we may live together with Him.
I am crucified with Christ; yet I live, though no longer I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave up himself for me.
cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be manifested in our body. For we, who are yet living, are always exposed to death for the sake of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life:
And if Christ be in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwelleth in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead, will also restore your mortal bodies to life, by his Spirit that now dwelleth in you.
saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
I charge thee before God, who giveth life to all, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed a good confession before Pontius Pilate,
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have contemplated, and our very hands have felt concerning the Word of life, (for this Life was manifested, and we saw it; and we testify and declare unto you that eternal Life, which was with the Father,
But we know that the son of God is come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, and in his son Jesus Christ: He is the true God, and eternal life.
The spirit is the principle of life, the flesh availeth nothing: now the words that I speak unto you are spirit, and therefore life.
Who hath also fitted us to be ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
He then, who soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he, that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
