16 Bible Verses about Unkindness

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and fury, and clamor, and calumny, be put away from you, with all malice: and be kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.

Ye have heard, that it has been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy: but I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that abuse you and persecute you;

But I say unto you my hearers, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them that abuse you;

Bless them that persecute you: bless them, I say, and do not curse them.

But if any one, who hath the good things of the world, seeth his brother in want, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

The Lord therefore answered him and said, Thou hypocrite, does not any of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall and lead him away to watering?

and said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately draw him out even on the sabbath-day?

Be hospitable one to another, without grudging;

Then will He say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was famishing, and ye gave me nothing to eat; I was a-thirst, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye took no care of me.

and sent messengers before Him: who went into a village of the Samaritans to get a place ready for Him. But they would not entertain Him, because his face was towards Jerusalem.

Be not forgetful of hospitality; for thereby some have entertained angels, not knowing it.

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food; and one of you say to them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and be ye filled: but ye give them not the necessaries of life, what profit is it to them?

for He did us good, in giving us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: towards them that fell, severity; but towards thee, goodness; if thou continue in his goodness: for else thou also shalt be cut off.

That in the ages to come He might shew the superabundant riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus.
