Now when it was evening his disciples came to Him and said, This is a desert place, and meal-time is now past; dismiss the people, that they may go away to the towns, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said to them, they have no need to go away, do ye give them something to eat. And they said, we have nothing here but five loaves and two fishes:read more.
and He said, bring them hither to me. And having ordered the multitudes to sit down upon the grass, and taken the five loaves and the two fishes, He looked up to heaven and blessed them; and He brake the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples to the people: and they did all eat, and were satisfied; and they took up what was left even of fragments twelve baskets full. Now they that had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
And when it was now late in the day, his disciples came to Him, and said, this is a desert place, and it is now late: dismiss them, that they may go into the country-places and villages round about, and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat. But He answered them, Do ye give them something to eat. And they say to Him, shall we go and buy two hundred penny-worth of bread, and give them to eat?read more.
But He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they had examined, they said, Five, and two fishes. And He ordered them to cause all the people to sit down by companies upon the grass: and they sat down in an oblong square, an hundred by fifty. And when He had taken the five loaves, and the two fishes, He looked up to heaven, and gave thanks; then He brake the loaves and gave them to his disciples, to set before them; the two fishes likewise He divided among them all. And they did all eat and were fully satisfied. And they took up of the fragments of the bread, and of the fishes, twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men.
And when the day began to decline, the twelve came and said to Him, Dismiss the people, that they may go into the villages and country-places round about, and bait, and get food: for here we are in a desert place. But He said unto them, Do ye give them food. And they said, We have but five loaves and two fishes: unless we should go and buy provisions for all this people: for they were about five thousand men. And He said to his disciples, Make them sit down in companies by fifty.read more.
And they did so, and caused them all to sit down. And He took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven He blessed them; and brake and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all satisfied: and there was taken up what remained even of fragments twelve baskets.
Then Jesus lifted up his eyes, and seeing a great multitude come to Him, saith to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread that these people may eat? (and this He said to try him, for He knew what He was going to do:) Philip answered Him, Two hundred penny-worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little.read more.
One of his disciples, to wit, Andrew the brother of Simon Peter, saith unto Him, There is a lad here, that hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes; but what are they among so many? And Jesus said, Make the men sit down: (now there was much grass in the place:) so the men sat down in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were sat down; and of the fishes likewise, as much as they would take. And when they were filled, He saith to his disciples, Gather up the fragments that are left, that nothing may be lost. Then Jesus called his disciples to Him and said, I am moved with compassion to the multitude, for they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: I will not let them go away fasting, least they faint in the way. And his disciples replied, Whence can we have so much bread in this desert place as to satisfy so great a multitude? And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? and they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.read more.
Then He bid the people sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves and the fishes, when He had given thanks, He brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were satisfied: and they took up what was left even of fragments seven baskets full. Now they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
In those days, there being again a very great multitude, and they having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to Him, and saith unto them, I have compassion on the multitude, for they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: and if I send them away fasting to their own home, they will faint by the way; for some of them are come from far.read more.

And my God will supply all your wants, according to his riches, in glory, by Christ Jesus.
therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than raiment? And why are ye sollicitous about raiment? consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I tell you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothe the grass of the field, which is growing to-day, and to-morrow is cast into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or how shall we be clothed? (things which the heathens are so inquisitive after) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these shall be superadded unto you.
And He said to his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor for the body, what ye shall put on: the life is more than food, and the body than raiment. And which of you by all his thought can add one moment to his life? If then ye cannot do even the lest, why are ye so anxious about the rest? And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which is to come upon the whole world, to try those that dwell upon the earth.
as his divine power hath given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who hath called us by that glory and virtue,
Therefore let no one glory in men: for all things are yours; whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or future, all are yours; and ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
And ye are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
No temptation has yet taken you but what is common to man: and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able to sustain; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or how shall we be clothed? (things which the heathens are so inquisitive after) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these shall be superadded unto you.
And seek ye not what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; neither be ye in careful suspense: for all these things the nations of the world seek after; but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. Seek ye therefore the kingdom of God, and all these shall be super-added unto you.
give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed and shaken down and running over, shall they give into your bosom: for by the same measure, which ye measure with, shall it be measured back again to you.
But this I say, He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let every one give as he chuses in his own heart; not with reluctance, or constraint: for God loveth a chearful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that having always all sufficiency in every thing, ye may abound in every good work:read more.
(as it is written, "He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness continueth for ever." And may He, who supplieth seed to the sower, and giveth bread for food, furnish and multiply your sowing, and increase the fruits of your bounty:) being in every thing enriched to all liberality, which produceth through us thanksgiving to God.
And indeed I have it all, and now abound: I am fully supplied, having received of Epaphroditus the things sent by you, a fragrant odor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
