So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

So they came and woke him up saying, "Lord, save us! We are about to die!"

Among those nations you will have no rest nor will there be a place of peaceful rest for the soles of your feet, for there the Lord will give you an anxious heart, failing eyesight, and a spirit of despair.

Do not be angry and frustrated! Do not fret! That only leads to trouble!

Anxiety in a person's heart weighs him down, but an encouraging word brings him joy.

But Martha was distracted with all the preparations she had to make, so she came up to him and said, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do all the work alone? Tell her to help me." My blessing is on those people who trust in me, who put their confidence in me. They will be like a tree planted near a stream whose roots spread out toward the water. It has nothing to fear when the heat comes. Its leaves are always green. It has no need to be concerned in a year of drought. It does not stop bearing fruit.

For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,

Throw your burden upon the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the godly to be upended.

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

If I say, "My foot is slipping," your loyal love, O Lord, supports me. When worries threaten to overwhelm me, your soothing touch makes me happy.

Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!
