considering, that it was not by such perishable things as silver or gold, that you were releas'd from those vain rites and customs impos'd upon you by your fathers,
the thief comes only to steal, to kill, and destroy: but I am come that they might have life, and have it with all its advantages.
till being united in a perfect belief, and acknowledgment of the son of God, we grow up to that full state of maturity required by Christ:
and ye are filled by him, who is the chief of all principality and power:
for you are sensible of the beneficence of our Lord Jesus Christ; powerful as he was, for your sake he became poor, that you through his poverty might be made rich.
