But, beloved, be not ye ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
In the beginning existed the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.
But now made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God,
Yea. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who cometh, the Almighty.
He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.
(As it is written, He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever.
For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:
For of him, and through him, and to him are all things: to him be glory for ever! Amen.
But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity! Amen.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to day and for ever.
And now, Father, glorify thou me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee, before the world was.
And, Thou, Lord, hast in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedeck:
But this, because he continueth for ever, hath a priesthood that passeth not away. Wherefore he is able also, to save them to the uttermost who come to God thro' him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right-hand upon me, saying, Fear not, I am the First and the Last, And he that liveth and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of death and of Hades.
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?
