And Jehovah Elohim commanded Man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou shalt freely eat;

And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden;

but of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, God has said, Ye shall not eat of it, and ye shall not touch it, lest ye die.

And he said, Who told thee that thou art naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee not to eat?

And Jehovah Elohim said to the serpent, Because thou hast done this, be thou cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field. On thy belly shalt thou go, and eat dust all the days of thy life.

and thorns and thistles shall it yield thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.

And Jehovah Elohim said, Behold, Man is become as one of us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever ...!

And there was set meat before him to eat; but he said, I will not eat until I have made known my business. And he said, Speak on.

and prepare me a savoury dish such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, in order that my soul may bless thee before I die.

Bring me venison, and prepare me a savoury dish, that I may eat, and bless thee before Jehovah, before my death.

And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, in order that he may bless thee before his death.

And the children of Israel saw it, and said one to another, What is it? for they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, This is the bread which Jehovah has given you to eat.

This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded: Gather of it every man according to what he can eat, an omer a poll, according to the number of your persons: ye shall take every man for those that are in his tent.

And they gathered it every morning, every man as much as he could eat; and when the sun became hot, it melted.

And Moses said, Eat it to-day; for to-day is sabbath to Jehovah: to-day ye shall not find it in the field.

And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded: Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread that I gave you to eat in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.

And Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took a burnt-offering and sacrifices for God; and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father-in-law in the presence of God.

And ye shall be holy men unto me; and ye shall not eat flesh torn in the field: ye shall cast it to the dog.

but in the seventh thou shalt let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of thy people may eat of it; and what they leave, the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thine olive-tree.

But the fat of a dead carcase, and the fat of that which is torn, may be used in any other use; but ye shall in no wise eat it.

And no blood shall ye eat in any of your dwellings, whether it be of fowl or of cattle.

And Moses spoke to Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the entrance of the tent of meeting; and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of the consecration-offering, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the oblation that is left of Jehovah's offerings by fire, and eat it with unleavened bread beside the altar; for it is most holy.

Whatever goeth on the belly, and whatever goeth on all four, and all that have a great many feet, of every manner of crawling thing which crawleth on the earth these ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

Therefore have I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall the stranger who sojourneth among you eat blood.

for as to the life of all flesh, its blood is the life in it; and I have said unto the children of Israel, Of the blood of no manner of flesh shall ye eat, for the life of all flesh is its blood: whoever eateth it shall be cut off.

and in the fifth year shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may increase unto you the produce thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

The bread of his God, of the most holy and of the holy, shall he eat;

Whatsoever man of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath a flux, he shall not eat of the holy things, until he is clean. And he that toucheth any one that is unclean by a dead person, or a man whose seed of copulation hath passed from him;

a person that toucheth any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things; but he shall bathe his flesh with water,

and when the sun goeth down, he shall be clean, and may afterwards eat of the holy things; for it is his food.

And no stranger shall eat the holy thing; the sojourner with the priest, and the hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

But if a priest buy any one for money, he may eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they may eat of his food.

And a priest's daughter who is married to a stranger may not eat of the heave-offering of the holy things.

But a priest's daughter that becometh a widow, or is divorced, and hath no seed, and returneth unto her father's house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father's food; but no stranger shall eat thereof.

And if a man eat of a holy thing through inadvertence, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing.

and cause them to bear the iniquity of trespass when they eat their holy things; for I am Jehovah who do hallow them.

And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast of unleavened bread to Jehovah; seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread.
