'Evening' in the Bible
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel;
Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Jehovah my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt-offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Jehovah our God.
