'Left' in the Bible

Therefore, this is what the Lord says: ‘You will not get up from your sickbed—you will certainly die.’” Then Elijah left.

Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the waters, which parted to the right and left. Then the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

Then he took the mantle Elijah had dropped and struck the waters. “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” he asked. He struck the waters himself, and they parted to the right and the left, and Elisha crossed over.

Later, Elisha left there to go up to Bethel, and as he was traveling along the road, some insignificant young men came from the city and started mocking him. They told him, "Get on up, baldy! Get on up, baldy!"

After this, he left from there to go to Mt. Carmel, and from there he went back to Samaria.

So King Jehoram left Samaria at that time and mustered the entire army of Israel.

And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.

So she left.After she had shut the door behind her and her sons, they kept bringing her containers, and she kept pouring.

When the containers were all full, she said to her son, “Bring me another container.” And he said to her, “There is not a one left.” Then the oil stopped [multiplying].

But Elisha’s attendant asked, “What? Am I to set 20 loaves before 100 men?”“Give it to the people to eat,” Elisha said, “for this is what the Lord says: ‘They will eat, and they will have some left over.’”

So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.

Then Hazael left Jerusalem.

Jehoahaz did not have an army left, except for 50 horsemen, 10 chariots, and 10,000 foot soldiers, because the king of Aram had destroyed them, making them like dust at threshing.

For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.

So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and left. He returned home and lived in Nineveh.

Before Isaiah had left the middle court, this message from the LORD came to him.
