'Off' in the Bible
Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?
But You, O Lord, be not far off;O You my help, hasten to my assistance.
My loved ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand afar off.
Let them flow away like water that runs off; When he aims his arrows, let them be as headless shafts.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age;Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
“But I will not break off My lovingkindness from him,Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
But You have cast off and rejected,You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.
I am passing like a shadow when it lengthens;I am shaken off like the locust.
All nations surrounded me;In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.
They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me;In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.
They surrounded me like bees; They were extinguished as a fire of thorns; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.
