And he said, "Go!" So they came out and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned in the water.

And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, I tell you the truth, he will never lose his reward."

When the disciples saw him walking on the water they were terrified and said, "It's a ghost!" and cried out with fear.

So he said, "Come." Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

and said, "Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.

When Pilate saw that he could do nothing, but that instead a riot was starting, he took some water, washed his hands before the crowd and said, "I am innocent of this man's blood. You take care of it yourselves!"

And just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

When they saw him walking on the water they thought he was a ghost. They cried out,

It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us."

He sent two of his disciples and told them, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.

John answered them all, "I baptize you with water, but one more powerful than I am is coming -- I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch."

Then, turning toward the woman, he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house. You gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

and as they sailed he fell asleep. Now a violent windstorm came down on the lake, and the boat started filling up with water, and they were in danger.

Then he said to them, "Where is your faith?" But they were afraid and amazed, saying to one another, "Who then is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!"

Then the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, and lead it to water?

So he called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this fire.'

He said to them, "Listen, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters,

John answered them, "I baptize with water. Among you stands one whom you do not recognize,

And I did not recognize him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'The one on whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining -- this is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

Jesus told the servants, "Fill the water jars with water." So they filled them up to the very top.

When the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), he called the bridegroom

John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming to him and being baptized.

A Samaritan woman came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me some water to drink."

So the Samaritan woman said to him, "How can you -- a Jew -- ask me, a Samaritan woman, for water to drink?" (For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.)

"Sir," the woman said to him, "you have no bucket and the well is deep; where then do you get this living water?

Jesus replied, "Everyone who drinks some of this water will be thirsty again.

The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water."

Then the woman left her water jar, went off into the town and said to the people,

Now he came again to Cana in Galilee where he had made the water wine. In Capernaum there was a certain royal official whose son was sick.

The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am trying to get into the water, someone else goes down there before me."

He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to dry them with the towel he had wrapped around himself.

But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and blood and water flowed out immediately.

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?"

So he ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him any more, but went on his way rejoicing.

"No one can withhold the water for these people to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?"

And I remembered the word of the Lord, as he used to say, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

They took soundings and found the water was twenty fathoms deep; when they had sailed a little farther they took soundings again and found it was fifteen fathoms deep.

For when Moses had spoken every command to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats with water and scarlet wool and hyssop and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

A spring does not pour out fresh water and bitter water from the same opening, does it?

Can a fig tree produce olives, my brothers and sisters, or a vine produce figs? Neither can a salt water spring produce fresh water.

Through these things the world existing at that time was destroyed when it was deluged with water.

Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood -- not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Then the third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star burning like a torch fell from the sky; it landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

Then the serpent spouted water like a river out of his mouth after the woman in an attempt to sweep her away by a flood,

Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood.

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and dried up its water to prepare the way for the kings from the east.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life -- water as clear as crystal -- pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
