'Wind' in the Bible

a wild donkey at home in the wilderness.She sniffs the wind in the heat of her desire.Who can control her passion?All who look for her will not become tired;they will find her in her mating season.

“At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, ‘A searing wind blows from the barren heights in the wilderness on the way to My dear people. It comes not to winnow or to sift;

a wind too strong for this comes at My call. Now I will also pronounce judgments against them.’”

The prophets become only wind,for the Lord’s word is not in them.This will in fact happen to them.

When He thunders,the waters in the heavens are in turmoil,and He causes the clouds to risefrom the ends of the earth.He makes lightning for the rainand brings the wind from His storehouses.

I will scatter you like drifting chaffbefore the desert wind.

I will scatter them before the enemy like the east wind.I will show them My back and not My faceon the day of their calamity.

The wind will take charge of all your shepherds,and your lovers will go into captivity.Then you will be ashamed and humiliatedbecause of all your evil.

This is what the Lord says:I am about to stir up a destructive wind against Babylonand against the population of Leb-qamai.
