The Descendants Of David

¹ These are the sons of David which were born him in Hebron: the eldest Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess. The second Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelitess. ² The third Absalom, the son of Maacah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur. The fourth Adonijah, the son of Haggith. ³ The fifth Shephatiah by Abital. The sixth Ithream by Eglah his wife.

It had been as good for me to have bidden there still. Now therefore let me come to the king's presence, or else if there be any trespass in me, kill me."
