Christ Crucified, The Power And Wisdom Of God

²⁴ To those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, it is Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. ²⁵ Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. ²⁶ Consider your calling, brothers. Not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

Instead God chose the foolish things of the world to confuse (shame) the wise. God chose the weak things of the world to confuse (shame) the things that are mighty.

2 Corinthians 13:4

Though he was impaled through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. We are weak through him also, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
