Wives And Husbands

³ Your appearance should not come from the outward adornment, things like braiding the hair, and wearing jewels of gold, or wearing fine apparel. ⁴ but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. ⁵ The holy women of old, who hoped in God, adorned themselves this way, being submissive to their own husbands.
