For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?

because he came close to death
for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was deficient in your service to me.

See to that yourself!”
Without a cause
Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.
Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head;
Those who would
destroy me are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies; What I did not steal, I then have to restore.
