Yahweh Makes A Covenant With David

¹⁴ I will be his father. He will be my son. When he does wrong I will correct him just as parents correct children. ¹⁵ but My lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. ¹⁶ I will make sure that one of your descendants will be king for a very long time. Your throne will be established from generation to generation.'
