2 that you be not soon shaken in mind, nor terrified, neither by a spirit, nor by a discourse, nor by an epistle as from us, as though the day of the Lord was at hand. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way, for [he shall not come] unless the apostacy comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every thing that is called a god or an object of worship, so that he sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
