Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

The statement found approval with the whole
congregation; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch.
But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the
Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.
some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the people, he withdrew from them and took away the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
Therefore they spent a long time there
speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.
being justified as a gift
by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
through whom also we have
obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.
You have been severed from Christ, you who
are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
For the grace of God has
appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
