And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
“Men of Israel, listen to these words:
Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—
“Brethren, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the message of
this salvation has been sent.
Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises,
I say then, God has not
rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell at his feet and
When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they raised their voice, saying in the
Lycaonian language, “ The gods have become like men and have come down to us.”
Then they said to him, “
We have had a dream and there is no one to interpret it.” Then Joseph said to them, “ Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell it to me, please.”
Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, “
It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”
However, there is a
God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed.
John answered and said, “
A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
