4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
4 Wasn’t it yours while you possessed it? And after it was sold, wasn’t it at your disposal? Why is it that you planned this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God!”
4 As long as it remained unsold, wasn't it your own? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? So how could you have thought of doing what you did? You didn't lie only to men, but also to God!"
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down and expired; and great fear was upon all who heard.

10 And she fell down immediately at his feet, and expired; and the young men coming in found her dead, and carried her out, and buried her by her husband.

24 And when they heard these words, both the priest and the commander of the temple and the chief priests doubted concerning them, what this could mean.
24 Now when (AD)the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them as to what (l)would come of this.

25 But some one came and told them, Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
28 “Didn’t we strictly order you not to teach in this name?(P) And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to bring this man’s blood on us!”(Q)
28 He said, "We gave you strict orders not to teach in his name, didn't we? Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to bring this man's blood on us!"
29 And Peter answering, and the apostles, said, It is necessary to obey God rather than man.
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

34 But a certain Pharisee in the Sanhedrim, by the name of Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, in honor with all the people, standing up requested them to put the men out a little while;

36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, (AY)claiming to be somebody, and a group of about four hundred men joined up with him. (u)But he was killed, and all who (v)followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.
36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
36 Not long ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a group of about 400 men rallied to him. He was killed, and all his partisans were dispersed and came to nothing.(X)

37 After him arose Judas the Galilean, in the days of the census, and drew away people after him; and he was destroyed, and all who obeyed him were dispersed.

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 They went therefore from the presence of the Sanhedrim, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer shame for the name of [Christ];

41 They left the Council, rejoicing to have been considered worthy to suffer dishonor for the sake of the Name.
42 and every day in the temple, and from house to house, they ceased not teaching and preaching the good news of Christ Jesus.
