They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and

to prayer.

serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials which came upon me through the plots of the Jews;

Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel.

Say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching.

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

Prayer

These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you,

For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,

always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all,

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the

knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have on your behalf and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not personally seen my face,

Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand

perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
