Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.
Jews by nature and not sinners from among the Gentiles;
Those who desire
to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply so that they will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
And although you were
formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
When you were
dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
1 Samuel 17:26
Then David spoke to the men who were standing by him, saying, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away
the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should taunt the armies of the living God?”
“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet
we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,
a renewal in which
there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.
and in Him
you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;
You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.
