Whom

Fitly

‘Did You not pour me out like milk
And curdle me like cheese;

frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;

For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.

and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

The effectual

of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.

For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.

Edifying

but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge

makes arrogant, but love edifies.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,

Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,

that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself,

constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and

steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,

and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;

Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater;

But the goal of our

instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a

sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,

We have come to know and have believed the love which God has

for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
