Provision Of Rest From Work

12 And the Lord said to Moses,

12 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

12 The Lord said to Moses:

12 The LORD told Moses,

13 “But as for you, say to the Israelites, ‘You shall most certainly observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know [without any doubt] and acknowledge that I am the Lord who sanctifies you and sets you apart [for Myself].

13 “But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘(P)You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is (Q)a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.

13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

13 “Tell the Israelites: You must observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am Yahweh who sets you apart.(E)

13 "You are to tell the Israelis: "You are to certainly observe my Sabbaths because it's a sign between me and you from generation to generation, so you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

14 Therefore, you shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does work on the Sabbath, that person (soul) shall be cut off from among his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].

14 Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. (R)Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.

14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

14 Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people.(F)

14 You are to observe the Sabbath, because it's holy for you. Whoever profanes it is certainly to die; indeed, whoever does work on it is to be cut off from among his people.

15 For six days work may be done, but the seventh is the Sabbath of complete rest, sacred to the Lord; whoever does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

15 (S)For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a (T)sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; (U)whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

15 Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest,(G) dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

15 Work may be done for six days, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does work on the Sabbath is certainly to die.

16 So the Israelites shall observe the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’

16 So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to (o)celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’

16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

16 The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.

16 The Israelis are to keep the Sabbath to make the Sabbath observance a perpetual covenant from generation to generation.

17 It is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He ceased and was refreshed.”

17 (V)It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; (W)for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”

17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

17 It is a sign forever between Me and the Israelites, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”

17 It is a sign forever between me and the Israelis, because the LORD made the heavens and the earth in six days, but on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'"
