Exodus 9:17

Plague Seven: Hail

¹⁶ However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you My power and to make My name known in all the earth. ¹⁷ You are still acting arrogantly against My people by not letting them go. ¹⁸ Tomorrow at this time I will rain down the worst hail that has ever occurred in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

Job 9:4

God is wise and all-powerful.
Who has opposed Him and come out unharmed?

Job 15:25-26

For he has stretched out his hand against God
and has arrogantly opposed the Almighty.

Job 40:9

Do you have an arm like God’s?
Can you thunder with a voice like His?

Isaiah 10:15

Does an ax exalt itself
above the one who chops with it?
Does a saw magnify itself
above the one who saws with it?
It would be like a staff waving the one who lifts it!
It would be like a rod lifting a man who isn’t wood!

Isaiah 26:11

Lord, Your hand is lifted up to take action,
but they do not see it.
They will see Your zeal for Your people,
and they will be put to shame.
The fire for Your adversaries will consume them!

Isaiah 37:23-24

Who is it you have mocked and blasphemed?
Who have you raised your voice against
and lifted your eyes in pride?
Against the Holy One of Israel!

Isaiah 37:29

Because your raging against Me
and your arrogance have reached My ears,
I will put My hook in your nose
and My bit in your mouth;
I will make you go back
the way you came.

Isaiah 45:9

“Woe to the one who argues with his Maker—
one clay pot among many.
Does clay say to the one forming it,
‘What are you making?’
Or does your work say,
‘He has no hands’?

Acts 12:23

At once an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give the glory to God, and he became infected with worms and died.
