Punishment For Abominations Throughout The Land

¹⁸ They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and trembling shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads. ¹⁹ They will fling their silver into the streets and their gold will become an abhorrent thing; their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their appetite nor can they fill their stomachs, for their iniquity has become an occasion of stumbling. ²⁰ Because they turned the glory of his ornament into pride and made in her the images of their abominations of their statues; therefore I have set it far from them.
