Thou art righteous

“However, You are just in all that has come upon us;
For You have dealt faithfully, but we have acted wickedly.

“Righteousness belongs to You, O Lord, but to us

open shame, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those who are nearby and those who are far away in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of their unfaithful deeds which they have committed against You.

For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

For we remain

The Lord’s

lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,

For His compassions never fail.

In our trespasses

For all of us have become like one who is unclean,
And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment;
And all of us wither like a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

“Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus you have spoken, saying, “Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are rotting away in them; how then can we survive?”’

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel.

Then He said again to them, “I go away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.”

and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

And do not enter into judgment with Your servant,

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;
