Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1 Corinthians 15:2
by which also you are saved,
if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
He who was
delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.
“Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus you have spoken, saying, “Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are
rotting away in them; how then can we survive?”’
Then He said again to them,
“I go away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.”
He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that
through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,
For if while we were
enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Who will bring a charge against
God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;
The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing,
And according to the
Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
For it is
impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Corinthians 15:14
if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
