2 “How (C)blessed is the man who does this,And the son of man who (D)takes hold of it;Who (E)keeps from profaning the sabbath,And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

8 This is the declaration of the Lord God,who gathers the dispersed of Israel:“I will gather to them still othersbesides those already gathered.”(J)

8 The Lord (b)God, who (U)gathers the dispersed of Israel, declares,“Yet (V)others I will gather to (c)them, to those already gathered.”

8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

9 All you (W)beasts of the field,All you beasts in the forest,Come to eat.

9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

9 "All you wild animals, come and devour even all of you wild animals.

9 All you beasts of the field,All you beasts (hostile nations) in the forest,Come to eat.

10 Israel’s(a) watchmen are blind, all of them, they know nothing;all of them are mute dogs, they cannot bark;they dream, lie down, and love to sleep.

10 His (X)watchmen are (Y)blind,All of them know nothing.All of them are mute dogs unable to bark,(d)Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber;

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

10 His watchmen are blind; they are all without knowledge. They are all dumb dogs they cannot bark. They keep on dreaming and lying around, and they're lovers of sleep!

10 Israel’s watchmen are blind,They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs, they cannot bark;Panting, lying down, they love to slumber.

11 These dogs have fierce appetites;they never have enough. And they are shepherdswho have no discernment;all of them turn to their own way, every last one for his own gain.(K)

11 And the dogs are (e)(Z)greedy, they (f)are not satisfied. And they are shepherds who have (AA)no understanding; They have all (AB)turned to their own way,Each one to his unjust gain, to the last one.

11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

11 Meanwhile, the dogs have a mighty appetite they can never get enough. And as for them, they are the shepherds who lack understanding; they have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, each and every one.

11 And the dogs are greedy; they (b)never have enough. They are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way,Each one to his unlawful gain, without exception.

12 “Come, let me get some wine, let’s guzzle some beer;and tomorrow will be like today, only far better!”(L) >

12 “Come,” they say, “let (g)us get (AC)wine, and let us drink heavily of strong drink; And (AD)tomorrow will be like today, only more so.”

12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

12 ""Come!' they say, "let's have some wine, and let's fill ourselves with strong drink! Then, tomorrow will be like today, or even much better!'"

12 “Come,” [they say,] “let us get wine, and let us fill ourselves with strong drink; And tomorrow will be like today, very great indeed.”
