The Fall Of Jerusalem

⁷ And he blinded Zedekiah's eyes and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon. ⁸ And the Chaldeans burned the king's house and the houses of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem. ⁹ Then Nebuzaradan the chief of the executioners exiled to Babylon the rest of the people who remained in the city, and those who fell away, who fell to him with the rest of the people that remained.

Nehemiah 1:3

And they said to me, The remnant left of the captivity there in the province is in great affliction and shame. And the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.

Jeremiah 21:10

Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.
