A Message Concerning Moab

¹ Against Moab thus said Jehovah of armies, God of Israel, Wo to Nebo for it was laid waste: Kiriathaim was ashamed and taken: Misgab was ashamed and terrified. ² No more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they purposed evil against it; come, and we will cut it off from a nation. Thou also shalt be destroyed, O Madmen; the sword shall go after thee. ³ A voice of a cry from Horonaim, laying waste, and great breaking.

Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai was laid waste: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird yourselves with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro in the walled places; for their king shall go into captivity, his priests and his chiefs together.
