A Message Concerning Damascus

²⁵ I once was pleased with your famous city. But now I warn you: Escape while you still can! ²⁶ “Therefore, her young men will fall in her streets,
And all the men of war will be silenced in that day,” declares the Lord of hosts.
²⁷ I will set fire to your city walls and burn down the fortresses King Benhadad built.

Jeremiah 50:30

That is why their young men will die in the streets, and all their soldiers will be silenced that day, declares Jehovah.

Jeremiah 11:22

This is what Jehovah of Hosts says: I am going to punish them. The young men will die by the sword because of war. Their sons and daughters will die by famine.
